The Cryosphere
The delicate balance of our planet's climate depends on what is happening at the poles.
When they asked us for the first time about what the cryosphere is, we immediately understood that we should pay more attention, so at AveLun as a brand we committed ourselves to answering these questions and joining in the effort to stop climate change, at the same time show more people that if together we learn about this issue, together we will solve it faster!
Cryosphere (cryogenic sphere) is the name given to the combination of sea ice, snow, permafrost, ice caps, and glaciers.
In the state of cryosphere is the climatic balance of our planet as we have had the last thousands of years. Every year the ice of the north pole recedes every season given the position of the planet with respect to the sun. However, studies have long shown that the melting is increasing and we understand that this is due to the increase in temperature.
When the cryosphere recedes it means that the ice is melting, the direct consequence is the rise in sea level, more fresh water in the ocean that endangers the delicate balance of biomes.
This doesn't seem like a problem until we measure the consequences of this continuing to happen. In our times we celebrate the milestones of situations that happened 200 years ago or more. If we don't do what we have to do now, in the next 200 years the milestone we will celebrate is that coastal cities will be under the sea because of us.
